EDISON, NEW JERSEY (December 1, 2009)—The versatile, one-piece SANICOMPACT toilet from SFA Saniflo Inc. offers a reliable green solution that saves both water and floor space in a residential bathroom application. The product installs quickly and easily anywhere in the home, with no venting required. In addition to handling toilet waste, the SANICOMPACT can also pump water away from a nearby sink. Operating with only one gallon of water per flush (gpf), the self-contained SANICOMPACT uses approximately 38% less water than a standard 1.6 gpf toilet. That translates into a potential household savings of nearly 30 gallons of water per day, or more than 10,000 gallons annually, based on a daily water usage of 400 gallons for a family of four, according to data from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Integrated design: SANICOMPACT saves space through a sleek, contemporary design that combines a macerating pump and an electronically activated toilet bowl into a single fixture.
With this integrated design, the SANICOMPACT measures only 14.5 inches wide and 18.25 inches deep. That makes it ideal for tight spaces where installation space is limited, such as in lofts and attics, pool houses, bedroom areas, basements and garages. The SANICOMPACT is ideal for installations under a stairway or in a closet to create an additional — even temporary — bathroom. Its comparatively low, 15.75-inch height also provides easier, more comfortable access than a standard toilet.
Easy to operate: Made of vitreous china, the SANICOMPACT works in much the same manner as Saniflo’s popular SANIPLUS model, except that the pump and macerating unit are housed inside the fixture. Also unlike the SANIPLUS or a conventional toilet, the SANICOMPACT system needs no external, gravity-flow tank. That’s because the flushing-macerating cycle is automatic with a push of the air-switch button at the top of the bowl.
In addition to disposing waste from the toilet, the macerator inside can also pump water away from a nearby sink. The system uses a one-inch discharge pipe to pump effluent 9 feet vertically, 100 feet horizontally, or a combination of both. (Note: A vertical run of three feet is equivalent to a horizontal run of 30 feet.)

The SANICOMPACT carries a CSA mark for electrical use in the U.S.A. as well as Canada. Saniflo warranties the SANICOMPACT, including all electrical components, for 24 months.
